The original catalogue, developed nearly 75 years ago by Automatic Spring, established a widely adopted range of compression springs that has remained largely unchanged due to its practicality and reliability. By retaining these established dimensions and design principles, the stainless steel range ensures compatibility with existing drawings, assemblies, and specifications already in use throughout industry.

All stock stainless compression springs are manufactured in 304 stainless steel, offering good corrosion resistance and suitability for applications exposed to moisture, mild chemicals, or hygienic conditions. This range is suitable for general industrial use as well as applications in food processing, marine, and clean environments where carbon steel springs may not be appropriate.
