This range is stocked in both hard-drawn carbon steel and stainless steel, providing reliable options for standard and corrosive environments.

All stock extension springs are manufactured from hard-drawn carbon steel to AS 1472 – Range 2, or stainless steel where specified, offering dependable performance for general industrial use. Additional materials, including oil-tempered wire and specialty alloys, are available for springs manufactured to custom specification, subject to enquiry.

Springs may be wound either right-hand or left-hand, at the spring maker’s discretion unless otherwise specified at time of order.

Extension springs: the eyes/loops supplied on each end are at the manufacturer’s discretion and will be supplied with either English eyes, German eyes, or Machine eyes. For images and descriptions, refer to our How to Measure and Use Springs guide.

Finishes & Surface Treatments

Stock extension springs are supplied in a plain finish and lightly oiled. Stainless steel springs are supplied clean and untreated. Special surface finishes and coatings, including electro-zinc plating, mechanical plating, passivated, and other treatments, are available for custom-manufactured springs. Minimum charges and quantities may apply.
